Swihart is a very polished player and could be the top backstop in this year's draft. He has committed to the University of Texas and projects as a solid all-around player. His defense is above-average, with a strong arm from behind the plate and good agility that will make him a good defensive player as well as potentially an offensive one. He has a natural loft in his swing from both sides of the plate which will allow him to develop good power if he continues to develop physically; as it stands he has somewhat of a lean build but as with all high school stars there is room to get bigger and better. Even so, because he is agile and runs well, he could just as easily excel as an infielder if his catching skills do not live up to standard. Below is a video of Swihart:
