Talk about a star athlete. Starling passed up the chance to be the Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback to pursue a career in baseball. Nebraska will benefit either way, as Starling brings both a 90's fastball and sweet stroke to the table, so the sky is the limit right now. His hitting is still a work in progress and scouts of course love his rocket arm. At the outset of his college career he will likely be an outfielder and secondary reliever because his pitching is not as refined as it needs to be. Nonetheless, Starling is an exceptional athlete that Keith Law dubbed an "obnoxiously talented baseball player."
