| Profile |
| The instant comparison with Pac-10 Player of the Year Bauer is to two-time Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum. He has somewhat of a funky delivery, but there is no denying the stuff he brings to the table. Bauer can touch upper-90's with his fastball, but it is his curveball that keeps hitters off balance. His changeup is progressing, but it is evident his command is extremely polished with his nation-leading 189 strikeouts. In his most recent performance, Bauer struck out 14 and walked just one. He flies somewhat under the radar because Gerrit Cole is his teammate, but unquestionably Bauer will be a top 10 pick. |
